I am a board certified licensed professional counselor and credentialed victim advocate. I have worked with military servicemembers and retirees, individuals, families and couples for more than 25 years in a variety of clinical settings. My clinical work is informed by a deep commitment to serving vulnerable populations experiencing issues of trauma, including perinatal loss, domestic and sexual violence and child and intimate partner abuse. I offer Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which provides a cohesive framework for processing grief, loss, and relationship issues.
My experience working with military servicemembers and their family members enables me to assist with posttraumatic stress and acute stress, anxiety and depression issues, and relationship issues related to deployments and separations. Additionally, I teach undergraduate students in both clinical and industrial/organizational psychology, shaping the next generation of professionals in the field.
