Pocono Counseling Associates (PCA) is looking for a full-time or part-time Master’s-level therapist to join our expanding practice. We offer exceptional mental health care to adolescents and adults in the Poconos region for over 11 years. Our practice is built on the foundation of a safe, comfortable, and respectful alliance with our clients.
Hiring Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team at PCA.
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or psychology from an accredited program
- Possess a current LCSW or LPC license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Demonstrate exceptional writing skills
- Possess strong interpersonal and phone communication abilities

Schedule & Caseload
Providing accessible mental health services to our clients is a priority at PCA, therefore we offer both in-person and remote therapy options, using a HIPAA-compliant software program called SimplePractice. While the incoming therapist will have the freedom to create a schedule that allows work-life balance, we ask a minimum of 15 clients per week and the ability to schedule during evening hours (3pm to 7pm) at least two days per week.
Position Responsibilities
As a therapist at PCA, you will be expected to document sessions, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and complete clinical discharge summaries. Assessing each client’s needs to determine if referrals to other programs or services are necessary will be an ongoing responsibility. Additionally, you will be required to attend at least 2 office meetings per year.
Compensation
The compensation offered at PCA is based on experience with yearly performance-based raises.

Our office features a coffee bar for clients as well as a kitchen area and separate coffee maker for staff. Our marketing efforts include professional online and social media presence, including a bio page with picture on our website, profile on Psychology Today, and professional business cards. We have a dedicated office manager to handle phone calls and scheduling intakes as well as managing any co-pays and insurance billing. Clinician is provided with all office supplies needed as well as high-speed WIFI while working in the office. We will also work with you to get paneled with most major insurance companies.
